I currently have a JL Audio Stealthbox 10 inch subwoofer with 250/1 JL audio amp and am working on the rest of the system. I want to add Pioneer AVIZ-Z1 Dvd/Nav. unit, JL audio 300/4 amp, JL audio XR653-Csi components in the front doors and JL Audio XR-CXi components in the rear doors. I plan on doing all the install and have some questions. I want to run new speaker wires to all speakers. What adapter would I need to keep the onstar and steering wheel functions working? Do I need a capacitor for more power for the amps? What adapter would I need to keep the dvd functioning while driving? Any other suggestions or comments would be appreciated. Thanks.

I cant help yo with adaptors because I dont have onstar or steerign wheel controls in my truck, but I would definately reccommend atleast a small capacitor. it will make it easier to pull multiple power wires for the seperate amps instead of a distribution block and help reduce clipping at higher volume levels since it will have stored power right at the amps instead of having to pull all the way from the battery. i'm running a 5 farad cap and that lets me pull 3 four guage wires to the 3 amps I have. now i'm on the great search for dual 145 alternators. one just doesnt cut it. as far as the Z1 its an awsome unit theres a manual bypass with the parking lights so you can have full navigation functions as wel as play the DVD while in motion, theres a rumor of a wiring bypass that doesnt involve tricking one function or another that i'm going to try hopefully in the next few days, something bewteen the rear camera output and somewhere else.
good luck with that project

btw, how does the stelthbox sound? i was thinking either the single 10w3 in the console or the new 2 10w1 box that they have for my crew cab with a 250/1 or maybe a 500/5 amp.
i have the 653's in my vette and love the sound with the 300/2 and a 250/1 running a 10w6.

The stealthbox sounds nice and its nice not losing any space in the back with the console setup. The 250/1 pushes the 1 ten nicely. Thanks for the info.
