Just curious what you folks run in your Dmaxs. I've been using Redline 15W40 synthetic. I've got redline synthetic in my differentials, too.

Same comment as blnagel, I assume Mobil 1 means Mobil Delvac 1 (or Mobil Truck and SUV).

Far more important than the oil type is the regular changing of it!

Rotella T syn. 5w 40w . Did any of you notice a 5-6 degree temp drop when you switched to syn. oil? I did and can not believe it yet.

The "Other" shows 37 users while the total of all the listed oil users is 36 . Just what oil do the "Others" use? I haven't seen any Mobil One rated for diesel, is there a secret place to get it?Edited by: Bill Gisse

The Mobil 1 for Diesels is Delvac 1 5w40. Around here I see it at Napa, Advance Auto, WalMart, and truck stops.

I use Petro-Canada's 5w-40 Duron sythetic in my truck. Very high quality oil. It gets very cold up here sometimes as low as -40 degrees ( fareinheit or celcius are the same at this point ) plus I change it every 3000 miles and ignore that oil life monitor. If it is as good as their milage calculations in the truck then engines would be droping out. Edited by: AbsoluteGMC
