I took out my pyro probe to look at it after 300 miles of use. The probe was pretty black but cleaned up easily enough with 120 grit paper. It didn't look like it was affecting the Attitude temp reading.

1. Is the soot build-up pretty normal?

2.Will a fuel additive help reduce the soot?

Thanks guys- (new Juice/Attitude owner)

Soot is normal.

I dont think that anything other than biodiesel will help soot.

Soot would not have a negative effect on your EGT readings. Get it to 1000-1200 degrees once in a while and it will just burn right off.

I'd do nothing... Worry about it little!
