signgrafix 12-16-2006, 11:34 AM Less than a year ago I did not even own a diesel and did not know nothing about them. Reading that link made me realize how much I have learned over the past 8 or so months from reading this board. I had to laugh when I read some of the posts.
NYCEGUY01 12-16-2006, 12:20 PM i went to read the post and found out i was allready registered there from we had a chat with steaksauce. lol
I put my 2 cents in
gmctd 12-16-2006, 12:32 PM The initial post is almost three months old, but maybe pm the guy, give him our URL, have him sign on here.
DO NOT offer any valuable troubleshooting over there - absolutely do not want to help that 69-whatever dufus that knows 'a thing or two about Diesels'.
He's already dangerous enuff, as it is, eh?
dvdmacdaddy 12-16-2006, 12:39 PM I wouldn't trust him with a wrench near a bicycle.
King Pin 12-16-2006, 12:59 PM He Couldn't pour pee in out of a boot with instructions written on the heal!!!!!!!!!!!
Dan Hunter 12-16-2006, 01:39 PM Weiner? Who calls someone a weiner?
He knows a thing or two about diesels? I imagine that's about all he knows.:D
teroma25 12-16-2006, 01:48 PM Weiner? Who calls someone a weiner?
I laughed my *** off when I read that. I was thinkin' the same as you. Weiner...hahaha
The guys a joke!
gmctd 12-16-2006, 02:27 PM Yeah - wonder if maybe the guy's real name is Oscar Mayer.............
Can't believe he quickly blew away the good points Chris posted - anyone else we know that would pour sauce on established fact?
Ratman 12-16-2006, 02:53 PM Man, I don't even know what to say. I just shook my head in disbelief when I read that. The only posts that made sense were from the DP guys (big suprise).
Sounds to me like this know-it-all guy who "owns a diesel shop" is some zit-faced teenage wannabe who spends all his spare time trying to impress people on the internet by being a know-it-all.
Unfortunately, the guys that truly need help pay the price, -and that's too bad. I agree, -get that guy who needs help over here ASAP.
This is just another instance that makes me grateful for TDP and everyone here, -thanks guys!!
Dave12 12-16-2006, 02:58 PM Ah $hit he's from Ontario! Please don't think all people from Ontario are as rude and stupid as this guy.
Elmvale is just a little hick town about 1 hour north of Toronto. I believe they hold their annual "Cousin &ucking Festival" in June.
Dave
chrisk1500 12-16-2006, 02:59 PM No wonder the 6.5 gets such a bad rap.....when you have 'mechanics' slamming the IP all the time people start to wonder.....I am glad I found this site before buying my truck.....I couldn't have asked for a better machine!

No worries Dave, -we all know you're alright. Besides, -maybe you should show up at "the festival" with "IP problems" to try and find that guy. Then, when you do find him, -whip his sorry a$$ to the ground.
Sorry for sounding hostile, -that's just me. I have no tolerance for ignorant SOB's that give people bad advice.
Dave12 12-16-2006, 03:28 PM I'm usu'sally somewhere up in the area where he is in the summers fishing or camping. You can be sure if I run into any trouble with my truck, I won't be going to his shop.
Me, "Ah, yeah I think I have a slow leak in one of my tires. Can you check it for me". Jethro, "Oh no dude, that not your tire, you need a new injection pump. I've been working on these things for years. Trust me, "I know a thing or two about Diesels."" ;)

GmTrucks4Life 12-16-2006, 05:31 PM Gotta love the .... Black smoke is never related to a turbo problem:lol:
jifaire 12-16-2006, 05:48 PM Could have sworn the guy was Steaksauce ... kept waiting for him to whip out a PDC sales pitch...
But nope ... just another moron
majakarot 12-16-2006, 10:59 PM Wow, by the time I read the title I would have guessed a turbo issue... "turbo problems never cause black smoke"... isn't that the main symptom????!! that is exactly why I never take my truck to mechanics
