Hey for anyone interested i was in a gmc dealership the other day and posted on the wall the listed a kit for oem xm in your vehicle. It included the xm receiver an antenna and the wiring harness. all for @ 400.00. just thought anyone would like to know. later

That seems a little high. Mine came on the truck as a $300 dollar option. If I had it to do over again I would get the XM at Best Buy and with the attachment for the truck. That way you get the display that tells you what song is playing and also you can surf the categories etc......much better than the truck radio that does not give you that. Plus you can buy a boom box portable and another adaptor for the boat or trailer and an adaptor for the stereo in your house. This way you have one subscription fee for everything. I now have two subscriptions for all of the above plus I had to buy all of it.

I would have (and will) pay $400 for an OEM system. Let me know if you find any more details.

I just figured out, after nine months, that if you press the center of the RCL/station selection button on the radio, it will display artist and song. That would be the round button/knob below the volume knob. The vehicle manual does not say this but talks about a button that doesn't exist on the 6 CD unit.

Found the part # from GMC 12498768 at my dealer in mia 305 232 1308 maybe try your local gmc dealer.later
