I noticed a thumping noise about two weeks ago, it seems to be coming from the drivers side front wheel / suspension. I can feel / hear it intermitenly between 45 and 65 MPH. When it is making the sound I can feel it in the floor board. I looked under the truck tonite, every thing looks normal.

I searched the archives and am guessing bad hub, but didnt see a description of the symptons that match what my truck is doing.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I checked for slop tonite, lots of it when pushing top ot tire in while pulling out on the bottom. Sound like a bad hub?

How many miles? Sounds like ball joints.

52,000. I had 265 tires put on at 40k, might have something to do with the failure...

It could be, need to check it in the daylite. It has gotten worse, starting to make a crunching sound also. The new sound is leading me to think it's the hub.
