they sound nothing like a cummins, 6cyl vs. 8cyl, they do sound pretty good, look under the videos section, there are some 6.5 exhaust vids on there.

Uggg...I guess I'm going to have to be the old man of the group.

With a straight pipe it will sound good at idle and when you rev it up for your friends in the parking lot.

After that...it will drive you absolutely nuts. It sounds terrible at highway speed and the rumble, no, "drone" will give you headache in short order.

My opinion: Get a good high flow muffler.

With a good muffler you can still get some rumble, still hear the turbo, and still drive the thing down the highway without needing an Excedrin.

Yet another "old man":

LOL!

Heck no!

I'd much rather just hear the turbo whistle.

I'm going back to my rocking chair now.

Everyone says my truck sounds like a big block chevy w/ a hint of turbo. I have 4" straight w/ no muffler, or cat

My buddy got a new Kenworth, says he's gettin some short stacks and I could have the stacks it came with.

Should I put them on my truck?

Yeah I agree, I love the sound of my straight 4" but it can get a little hard on the head after awhile, especially when you got your women with ya in the pass seat, kinda makes the old conversion into a yelling match to hear the other person.... Definetly getting a muffler soon.
