Mark,

I'm one of these you ask about. I run level 2 when towing and just depending on how I feel at the time, I run level 3 or 4 most other times. I've tried level 5 a couple of times, but very easily and so far no slipping at all. And yes, lots of smoke in any level. I've only been using it now for about 2 months on my LLY. I was also a Beta tester for Edge.

I got my Juice in August of 2002. Upgraded to Hot Juice a few months later and upgraded again to Hot Attitude Juice this spring. Had stock transmission till this last weekend. I never zinged it or limped it. I took it easy on it though. I never ran level 5 till I had completley confirmed I was getting a tranny upgrade. I always had the "defuel on locked shifts turned on" too. Never raced the truck. When pulling the clutch packs, most of them looked in good shape, but 1 pack looked a little toasty. Let's put it this way, Eric called me a woos.

I think it's been tossed around enough, if you keep the Juice on 90hp or less setting, you should be ok. But horse power is addicting.

I have LLY w/Edge and normally run on levlel 3 or sometimes 4. Smokes more on 4 and 5. Tranny has never gone into limp mode (yet) but Attitude monitor shows some slip while in level 4 or 5 while romping it even with tow/haul on ! Mainly i think only when in 5th gear though.

Check out my post in the alli forum on Juiced trany autopsy. Its what I found on a LB7.

On my LB7 the low boost fueling has the biggest effect on smoke, although the higherlevels will still haze fairly deccent. Set it to level 1or level 2 low boost fueling if you have an attitude or if you just have a juice and no attitude buy a "California" calibrated juice box for minimum smoke.

Some hold more some hold less. Long term??? 370 or so RWHP IIRC is what most people are seeing via the dynos before they start to slip things but for how long? More than that if you run some stuff that dont back down and you dont mind really pissing off the allisonhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Evil Smile.gif Most people that have abused thier trany much more so than me and had slipping problems under added power and noticed some ugly frictions and steels when they ripped it apart still said it held stock power and acted fine with the power removed.

I would say long term never having to worry about the allison a 90hp juice is the max you can go unloaded and driving fairly sane. Thats the max and borderline from what I have seen. Right or wrong?http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif But thats JMHO

If you dont mind upgrading the alli eventually(although down the road a good ways maybe? who knows when?) stick 125hp to her and let her eat while saving for a trans upgrade and when the slipping and lower performance becomes unbearable rip out its innards. Or if all you will ever do is mild perf a transgo kit and a new single disk converter done now(before you hurt your stock clutches) will keep you from hurting your stock clutches and having to buy a set of oems down the road(cheaper in the long run) may make sense to you. Depends on what you want to do and $ you want to spend.....but power is addictive so keep that in mindhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Evil Smile.gif Alot of guys just let her eat and worry about the consequences when/if they happen with a bit of $ set aside if they do need it though. Do some reading and you can figure out what works best for you though.

You will pick up ET though with a modded trany and a 125 juice, you will put down more power in 5th gear. Worth it for you? thats your call.....
