2001 should have the cabin filter. The did away with them in 2003.

A stupid ( dumb ) question is the one that is not asked!! Don't be afraid to ask.

If you don't know you have one you will want to change it (its probably the original). Do a search on the "cabin filter" and there are several good write ups on how to change them. Takes about 10 minutes. I don't go into dusty environments and mine were nasty when I changed them original on my truck at 55k.
Reccommended intreval is 1 year.

Don't change your cabin air filter. You will honestly not even know the difference. I have a friend that works at the stealer and they laugh every time someone brings in their rig to get it replaced. Could be a waste of money if you ask me. Just my 2 cents, but do what you feel is best for your investment. (This post excludes driving in very dusty conditions on a daily basis).

I disagree hoss sometimes there can be odors trapped in the filters, and when it gets plugged the blower has reduced air output.

My boss changed his today and now his blower actually moves air.

48k miles and our '02 quit blowin' air. Filter plugged. If reasonable air flow is present, filter ain't plugged.

I know that you say that they did away with the cabin filters in 03..but why is napa showing that there is a filter and they have a part number...sorry to ask you guys this again but was curious

The '06 doesn't have a cabin filter but one can be added with the addition of the cabin filter retrofit kit from Tom Bacon. I added it to mine. Install of the kit isn't hard but installing the filters are. Very tight getting the filters side by side in the air duct. Here's the link to Tom's kit.
