I have been running my predator on the 85 hp setting for a while now and runs fine-- the other day I decided to bump it up to 120 hp and drove the truck for a while understanding that it needs a couple of miles to learn the new map. If I start from a dead stop and mash it -- seems ok- but when Im rolling along about 60mph and mash it -it seems to miss like crazy:mad:-- boost pressure seems ok and no abnormal smoke-- it only does it on the 120 setting. I have recently changed the fuel filter and regularly clean my air filter-- need some advice.... could it be the programmer? I bought it used.

is it just defueling during shifts? if so just drive it for like 40 miles and see if it goes away

that sounds like torque management trying to save your tranny. Try to roll on the throttle a little slower and it might do better. It does sound like it is defueling for the downshift though.

Well... I see you have the suncoast V. Mine does the same thing on the 85HP setting at around 60. I have bigger tires, however, and I think it's just a bad spot, right at the shift point or something. It seems to downshift, then bog out (defuel) then shift up, and take off.

-- this is not when its shifting -- this is when you are in the meaty part of the power band-- I didnt know if it was lack of fuel or timing and fuel wasnty just right or who knows....I understand the torque management could be a factor for the trans computer but I did pay the money for the Suncoast so I could put down some power-- I think I will try a different programmer to see what happens-- thanks for the feedback fellas!!

I think you will need a lift pump. Because sometime on a higher than 100 hp tune even a fresh fuel filter dont supply the fuel needed for the tune and this situation will not always throw a code...

Lift pump.

Mine did the samething on 120hp setting. Adding the lift pump cured it. Also made the 85hp setting more responsive. Still have my Predator. Works great for checking inj. balances.

I changed to the Quadzilla and the missing went away--I guess they use less fueling in their program--I havent tried the 135 setting yet- The quadzilla made this truck nasty--- I have it on the 90hp setting and it will break the tires loose without power breaking--yesssss--- by the way-- the fuel pump is on the way!!!

Might be surging. Mine does it when the cruise is set on 120 but not on any other setting. Also towing my trailer you can really feel it surge when your half throttle picking up speed.
