Due to the fact that my boss is helping me to get the truck going... he calls the shots on spending!
I am stuck with droppin' in a gasser and will either rebuild the 6.2 l;ater or sell as parts! I need to know if
1) new lift pump is same as gasser?
2)will accesory brackets interchange with 5.7 gas?
3) any one want my AC parts... Cmpressor seems good but I never had a belt from the time of purchase... All are tight right now!
4)I have a NEW converter on my 700r4 and he says it will be fine to use it on the gasser
5)electrical conversion... I can use the "hot" wire from IP to power distributor?
What about the lock up stuff for trans and convertor?
6)is there any hinderance in keeping the hydro boost brakes? I had them on a 454 dually truck..

Yep, sometimes you've got to do what you've got to do...

1. No, the lift pump is different (as I recall, anyway).

2. Most of the brackets are the same. You might run across a couple that are different, but for the most part stuff will bolt up.

3. I have no use for air conditioning parts (it's cold up here, remember?)... ):h

4. Yes, the torque converter will be fine.

5. Just run the ignition wire to the distributor. There should be a throttle position switch on the 350 to control the lockup converter.

6. Keep the hydroboost... It is a better setup than the vacuum brakes anyway (plus it is just one more thing to change again when you realize how much you miss the diesel ):h)...

Hope it all works out for you... :)

Accessory brackets are totally different on 6.2's compared to a 350. The lift pump will work on a 350, part number is different, but it will pump fuel and bolt up. Torque converter for a 6.2 is a better piece than the coresponding 350 part, but the stall speed is probably lower for the 6.2 which could make the 350 a little sluggish out of the hole. You will need to make sure you get the propper flex plate to bolt up, because there are some different bolt patterns.;)

How much would you sell all the old parts for?
