Can anyone advise what brand of air bag suspension I should use on my 04 GMC. I have a 36' travel trailer I tow which was not a problem until I started loading a golf cart in the back of the truck while towing the trailer. I believe the tongue weight of the trailer is approximately 900 lbs and the golf is anywhere between 1000 and 1500 lbs.

A local custom shop has recommend the ARNOTT system. I have seen some post on the firestone systems.

Suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks,

just go with airride or firestone air bags...i have the firestones on my truck and love them...really helps keeping the trucks butt off the ground pulling my trialer with the lift

:exactly:
I have the AirRide ones and love them, just make sure to think long about in cab controls, I didn't install them at first and what a pain. After the first trip I ordered the in cab controls and love them and use them all the time....

I just bought the Air Lift kit for mine along with the new Viair on board air system, they both rock!

You cant go wrong with either Air Lift or Firestone!

I have the HD Firestones with the Viar HD on-board Air system and in-cab controls. I am totally happy with it.

Are you guys installing these systems yourselves or having a shop do it? Will a Firestone shop install the Firestone setup with in-cab controller?

I've had excellent success with the Air Lift bags and Sure Set controller. Having the ability to control the pressure as conditions change is a huge benefit.

Install of the Air Lift bags is VERY simple. The Sure set is more along the lines of installing gauges.
