How does a dually rear axle differ from a SRW axle? I have a dually axle but need a SRW axle for a dmax, can I convert it, does anyone want to trade?
Also can the front end of a dually be used on a regular truck, talking dmax here also?

Front end is same... only difference is the spacer bolted onto the front hub, remove spacer and put wheel studs in hole and you're good to go. IIRC the dooley rear is a bit narrower than the SRW, nothing a wheel spacer can't fix. And on the dooley the rear brakes are a bit different. Instead of the rotor being placed over the hub ala 2500 the rotor is behind the hub and held on by the wheel studs. Don't believe it'll be a problem as long as you're using the complete dooley brake assembly.

What about the frame? What is the wheel base of a crew cab dually? How does the frame of a 3500 differ from that of a 2500? What is the wheel base of a suburban?

CCLB SRW or DRW is 167"... Frames aren't much different but not really sure. Sub wheelbase don't know.

I was out measuring stuff yesterday and found that the axle of the dually is wider that the SRW on my burb by almost 10". And the frames are very different on he back end. It looks like the front end is an exact match. I may be using the front of the 2002 and the rear of the 1995 frame. What do you think?
