I'm sure there is a thread already in this regard but I can't find it. How do you rewire a 2006 so the fog lites won't automatically turn off when the high beams are turned on...thanks.

There are some threads to have Hi and Low beams on at the same time , Fogs and high beams could be done by just putting a manuel switch for the Fogs ,but if its foggy why?

Well if it's foggy I wouldn't be using the high beams...that would make no sense....however, when your using your high beams most likely you want as much lite as possible....especially close to the front of the truck since the high beams cast lite way out in front of your truck. To me it's a no brainer. IMHO it is a bit too much lite to have both highs and lows on at the same time...just personal preference.

One more thing....maybe for clarity. I don't want the fog lites on every time the high beams are on....I want to be able to turn them on/off with the fog lamp switch. Currently when the fog lites are on and you switch to high beams the fog lites automatically turn off. I want to be able to turn the fog lites on/off whether the high beams or the low beams are on.

Mrtaillight.com has kits to where all 3 sets of light will stay on with highs. You can get a toggle switch too for the fogs.

Wire in a diode with the high beams and put a switch in-line... it will have to be a seperate switch than your fog lights though. Thats the simplest way to do it without reprogramming electrical computers and such...
