Is the 2004+ DMAX over the older model?
They obviously needed to make a few changes. I have an opportunity to trade mine in for a new one, and I have been struggling with going back to a gasser, or trying my luck with the new DMAX.
Any thoughts and advise would be appreciated! Thank you in advance... Ron

My opinion, hang onto your LB7 for now. I have yet to find an advantage to the LLY. It's still a nice truck though. Just less fuel economy.

Are you saying the LLY gets less fuel economy? I heard they have a bit more HP and torque. I thought they solved the injector problem, and the steering wheel loose feeling.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif
Wow, I already am not happy with my MPG's http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cry.gif
YOu see my pull trailer, and I feel lucky to get 9.5 MPG's out of it. Even when I pull it empty, which changes the weight by 3,000 pounds, the Mileage does not change, at least not much.
Thanks....

http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif If you buy a gasser, you will really be http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cry.gif over the gas mileage and power loss! Go to autozone and buy a k&n air filter and it might help out a little-even if it doesn't, you still save money because you never have to buy an air filter again! I pulled my wifes car from Arkansas to Wyoming and a U-haul tandem axle trailer back to Arkansas. through all the hills and mountains, I'd say I got around 15+ mpg. I took my program out too.
P.S. Mine has the LB7Edited by: dmaxfan

Your LB7 should get a lot better fuel mileage then that IMO. In that case, I don't think your fuel mileage will go down with the LLY. My LLY doesn't get as good of fuel mileage as my LB7 did but I would never get as low as yours.
