My brother and I have been tossing around the idea of putting a D-Max in his 67' K20. We currently have a 12V Cummins/NV4500/32spline NP205 in it but it's not complete yet. Also have a 1ton GM rear w/ Detroit and a D60 up front. Only thing that is stock is the frame and body. He wanted a
D-Max in the beginning but figured it'd be too hard and expensive but recently after seeing a few older Chevys with D-Max's,we got to thinking  :D . If anyone has any ideas how hard it would be or what it'd cost I'd like to get an idea. Can the A/C be eliminated to conserve space? How much shorter would the D-Max be than the Cummins? We would leave everything the same drivetrain wise except maybe put an AAM 11.5 in the rear for strength.

The only prob i see is all the damn wires! lol Last I seen a used LB7 go for was $2000, but i dont look around to much. Yeah you can remove the AC its a matter of blocking stuff off ect.

Personally Id keep the cummins, you dont have to mess with motor mounts ect. but thats JMO

I already built one custom crossmember for the CTD motor mounts. The wiring is the main thing that bothers me.
