I just bought my first diesel, a 2005 Duramax 3/4 ton, and I wanted to get more power for pulling my 14,000 lbs. tractor. I read about most of the tuners and decided that the Edge would be my best bet. I have a question on the Edge ans Attitude though. Most everyone that has the Edge juice has the attitude as well, and I was wondering if you can run the Juice without the attitude. Also is runing stock exhaust without the muffler, as good as runing a 4" turbo back exhaust. Thanks for all your help, your website is awsome.

Well if the Attitude will work the best then i will use that. What setting 2 or 3 can i pul 14,000 lbs on, and what setting can i just do regular driving?

I believe Edge has their tunes Labeled

1 Mileage
2 Tow
3 Drive
4 Race
5 Extreme
6 hot

With that in mind I would tow on level 2 and normal drive on level3. You can change edge w/o Attitude from inside the cab, with the engine off.

The Juice has limited power levels without the Attitude and you need the Attitude to be able to change power levels on the fly anyway and having the gauges is good insurance to keep EGT's in the safe zone too. Get it as a combo, you'll be glad you did!!

Dropping the muffler helps, but if you're like most you'll be getting a system later anyway, so for most folks it's cheaper to get the system now as the muffler removal costs will be lost when you change it out later etc.

i hade edge juice with an attitude and it gave me plenty of powerbut i had it stacked with a super chip and boost cooling kit it also had methonall for when i pulled it i hade a 5 inch exhaust all the way up exept where it hooked on to the turbo it was 4. thanks!!!!!!

My brother-n- law just has the edge no attitude and has it programmed in 4, 90hp all the time even when towing his 44ft. goose neck trailer. His is a 2002 chevy D/A EX SB All stock,intake,exhaust,tires. He pulls it from Mi. to the desert twice a year with no problem. I asked him the other day about it ever limping and didn't know what it was. Mines stock and I love riding in his.:)
