I had a coolant leak coming out behind the bottom pulley on the front of the engine. I took the truck to the dealer and they replaced the water pump (or so they said). Less than 4 days later the truck is leaking coolant from the same place. It doesn't seem to be coming from the weep hole. The truck goes out of warranty on 01/02/07 so I want to get the true culpret fixed on GM's dime. The leak seems to start when the block starts cooling off after being fully warmed up. Any Ideas????

I have been experiencing the same type of leak recently. (Leaks when parked after driving even short distances). The leak is directly over the front diff and initially I thought the diff was leaking (Changed to synthetic diff fluid without changing the vent from the black to the white). I checked the fluid leaking and there was no smell of diff fluid in fact it had little to no odor. I pulled the skid pan and saw the diff was covered in this fluid. Checked the level and it was full.

Steam cleaned and drove the truck. When I came back I checked everything and saw that the leak appears to be coming from a coolant line just below the power stearing pump. (hard line, looks like cast metal with studs at the flange that appear to take a special tool). The coolant level is fine and it looks like just a drip at this time but I would hate to have it become a major prob on a long haul, besides I am anal about anything leaking.

Anyway any help would be appreciated and I am sure Dino Diesel would appreciate it also.
