: How About these Stacks and Tank?
NoWake200 07-27-2004, 11:11 AM On our drive home we passed this Ford truck with two 8" stacks standing 8' talll with a big strap on tank in the bed. I talked to him on the CB and asked if we could take a picture. I could not understand a word he said on the radio but I did hear it was ok to take a picture.
I know it is not a Duramax but.....it is one of a kind.

HoustonDMax 07-27-2004, 01:19 PM NoWake200, I was on a two week trip pulling the 5th wheel through New Mexico, Arizona, Utah and Colorado a couple weeks back, and saw what I think is the same truck at Four Corners. Where did you run across this truck?
It looked even gaudier in person. Had my camera, but didn't think to take a picture (perhaps, subconsciencesely (sp) I was thinking, and didn't want to take a chance on breaking the camera?).

That is funny....small world, was he pulling anything? He was not pullin when we came accross this truck in Illinios on I-57 north....just outside of Marion. The funny thing is on our trip we came accross two pick-up trucks with a BigRig strap-on fuel tanks in there bed. One was in a Dodge and the other was this truck. I have never seen that kind of set up ever.

No, truck was sitting in parking lot. While wife and kids were strolling the indians booths, guy got in truck, fired her up and left. Dad and I had been watching it out of the corner of our eye, just to see what kind of person would drive something like that. Looked to be a "normal" guy, whatever that means in this day and time!
Was the Dodge red, with the tank red? We saw one like that on our trip as well. Different place than where we saw the Ford, and I don't remember where it was. Those big round tanks just look out of place, so you notice them.
NoWake200 07-28-2004, 10:47 AM The Dodge was green, he was parked in a truck stop in Western North Carolina.
Thsoe tanks do stand out.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif
kmcampbe 08-02-2004, 09:27 PM I've seen both the truck pictured and the red dodge in KY on I-65
Fireman 08-02-2004, 09:57 PM I just saw a story on the news...
A Kenworth driver was beat up and the assailant stole several pieces of his rig!
He was last seen heading north in I-57, just outside of Marion.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif
