My buddy was messing with my door locks and we heard the horn honk. When toggling the switch several times, on the lock cycle, the horn honks. It is light, but it concerns me that I might have a problem in the wiring somewhere. Have any of you guys seen this problem before? (I am currently in-between dealers and not looking forward to trying to finding a good one.) HELP!

It is supposed to do that. Press lock once and the doors lock. Press it again and the doors lock again and the horn honks. It is lock confirmation.

I turned this confirmation off on mine. Yours was probably off when you got it?

I would think it would only be on if the system was armed. This was running down the road. I do remember before I got my remote start it honking on the second time with the factory remote. I know the aftermarket will not actuate fast enough to make it do it.

It only will do it if it can lock all the doors, though, so if you lock the doors with one ajar, it won't honk. I turned this off on mine, and just turned on the momentary flash of the perimeter lights. A lot less annoying in my opinion. Plus, you can hear the doors lock, too.
