I have friend who has a 2004 LB7.He has had GMC install a GMC twin turbo. He says the turbo comes in sequentially, that is the second turbo kicks in after the first. Because it is a GMC unit installed by a GMC dealer, the warranty in uneffected. He paid a total of $1700 for the mod. What does anyone know about this; i.e., torque and hp figures, problems, etc? Thanks.

Your 1st post, Welcome to the Place!
He's your friend, ask him and post here with pictures. We'd all like to see twin turbos on an LB7.

I've read dmaxalliTech's posts for over 2 years and respect his knowledge immensely, which make me suspect I've been had. If, however, my friend (actually just an acquaintance) is on the level, I'll get some photos, but it will be a little while. He was in a 20+ vehicle pileup last weekend and his truck was totaled. I'll get them after the turbos have been removed and installed on the new truck.

The reason I think something fishy is.... The OEM turbo is about 1800 list, to add another turbo requires a great deal of fabrication and lastly, GM would NEVER add anything that adds that much to an engine. I am very interested in what you find out P40
