Either this site just doesn't give a sh*t or the Cummins forum was designed to bash Dodge owners.

Later. probably my last postEdited by: hoot

Please excuse these two clowns that have responded before me.,they deserve each other.

There is plenty of info available on the INTERNET fro research along with Cummins site, http://www.cummins.com/au/pages/en/products/dodgeram/faq/index.cfm .

The Older Cummins were know to be quite noisy compared to todays standard. The only other real issue was lift pump failure that I can recall besides staying away from a "53" Casting block I believe in 89? hopefully some one will correct me.

Hope others will chime in with some useful info.

12 Valver is cheaper to modify and has endless options for turbo's and injectors - but you have to swing wrenches. The 24 valve is more obnoxious sounding in my opinion but it is also plug and play.

When I say 24 valve that is the ISB from 98 to '02 not the current version ISBE '03 and '04.Edited by: EMSi

Not entirely when people draw attention to themselves starting ludicrous Topics "Topic: 05 Cummins Pees Off Jealous GM owners"they should expect people to just follow them around and post ridiculous responses.

People aren't light switches unfortunately. When the people who complain get serious then perhaps we as site management will also.

I apoligize I even have to respond in this topic this way.

True but this isn't worth the fight. I guess you didn't read the first two respones, thats why I said what I said.

Yes I did if you reread my first response in this topic. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Embarrased.gif To bad this topic has gone sour.

I will see where this goes .If I'm going to get tough on instigation it will be across the board.I wonder why none of this takes place in the Ford forum?

Think about it,I do. Sometimes the one being chased sould stop running and stop fighting the fight there will be no winner ever!

If the topic starter would like to start anew I can and will move the relevant responses.

The cummins from 94 to earyly 98 used the p7100 pump. It is the holy grail. It can outflow any pump on the market. Plus its reliable as hell. The best of the years is 98 where it had 215hp. In 98.5 they switched to an electronic pump. Not as reliable. Nor can it deliver as much fuel. This engine is known as the 24v. Uprates are plug and play. You can turn it up or down at the touch of a button. The 24v is louder but the new ones are really quiet. There is a lot of products for the 12v or the 24v.

There are a lot of posts on here that were useless. A complete waste of space.
