I want some black wheels for my truck. I plan on mounting 285/75 Goodyear MT/R's on them. So far the only thing I've found are the American Racing Mojave wheels with the Teflon finish. Anybody got em?

Do you know of any other nice 8-lug black wheels?

I really like Alcoa Classic 8's, I'm wondering if it's possible to get them in black somehow? Any input, (and pics!!!) is much appreciated. Here are pics / links. I JUST POSTED SOME MOCK_UPS WITH THESE WHEELS FURTHER DOWN IN THIS THREAD.

Those teflon coated mohave's would look great on a black or carbon truck IMO. I don't think they would look right on my white truck though. Here is a set of them for $ 749.99 + shipping:

I have been eyeballing the ARE diamondbacks, but I can't get the 8 lug diamondback in pollished, only in chrome. I could break into my Suncoast stash, but I hate to do that.

On Edit:

Here is a set of 17x8 polished mojave beadlocs:

I thought about putting those on my Arrival blue truck as all the rest of my accessories are black as well, but I didn't. I think it would look great on an entirely black truck!! You could really do it up in all black!!

You may want to take a look at this thread:

Someone asked for a PhotoShop work over for black wheels versus chrome on what I think is a Carbon Metallic truck. Although he was considering H2 takeoffs, I think he decided against it...http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ermm.gif

Tahe any wheel you like, and have it powdercoated. Lasts forever, rarely chips, and color should stay true.

Can you powdercoat a polished aluminum wheel? Do you think it's possible to match the OEM Carbon Black Metallic color?

I saw an H2 in Madison WI at the Hummer dealer with the stock wheels painted black. I didn't like them but I was also on the highway so I couldn't stop and check them out.

Check out these mock-up's I did. I really like a dark wheel with a chrome lip. Where can I get them? ? ? ? . . . . . . .

Sorry, but I dont dig the black rims. Rims to me should always be shiny and somewhat flashy :)

The black wheels just look bad. They look dirty. They make the whole truck look dirty. Clean shiny tires and wheels can make a dirty car look 60% cleaner. IMHO

My powdercoater says you can powdercoat aluminum and has done it, including an aluminum boat. Problem is there is no such thing as "perfect" matchs for paint vs powder. My 05 is Sport Red and we are going to powder coat the front and rear bumpers, electric steps, canopy basket, and a few other things the same color as the truck instead of black. Finally found a color that is very, very close, but not perfect. Still deciding.

TheDuramax.....I see your from Frisco. Im over here in fremont.....

Theres a company in San Jose called wheel Techniques...they fix damaged/bent rims. Well they have been doing this new process where they can add this liquid color to your polished/ chromed part........its a werid deal which i know nothing about so you might want to give them a call.

Can you powdercoat a polished aluminum wheel?

I think I read somewhere that the stock PYO's are powdercoated clear for protection.

the pyo rims are clearcoated

for anti-bling go with the black rims
for bling-bling go with chromed aluminum
