I would suggest that if you are serious about using a locker in front axle that I would convert over to a solid front axle like a Dana 60 or better. Yes, it would be pricey but it would be a lot stronger as there is not enough design strength in the stock front end to stand that kind of strain regularly. 8100hammer 07-27-2004, 11:08 AM Not just yet, the cam is what I will build around for now. Still need headers, and head and intake. Also there a guy on ls1tech that is building a 8.1 stroker motor. 550hp and 650ftlbs all N/A on 89 octane. If you enjoy mud-riding and a smoother ride, you might want to stick with independent suspension.
