:) Hi All....

I have a 2006 Duramax Diesel Silverado, Crew Cab, 6 Speed Allison what else can I say.... love the truck.

I have a slight hesitation problem when I first drive it in the morning from cold. Here's the scenario, drive from cold off the drive about 7 minutes to the highway, truck is warming up now, get on the highway and accelerate to about 90KM/H. Allison now in top gear 6th, press a little more on the accelerator and I can feel a slight hesitation for a few seconds. If I press it down more it goes away, if I come up more it goes away. Does it every morning I go to work, and only for about the first minute then doesn't do it at all again until the next day????? Anyone got any ideas? I'm taking it to the dealer next week to have the glow plug system reprogrammed as it is on recall.

I have tons of power, and actually when driving through town, what I do notice lately is that when I'm accelerating at slow speeds (50KM/H) low throttle, it seems to start accelerating more/running away from me and I have to ease up on the throttle. Is this just the turbo kicking in? I didn't seem to notice this too much before and have owned the truck since new for about 4 months and have only 9500KMS on her.

P.S> This is my first diesel truck.

Any help would be appreciated.....

Graham.

At high speeds, from what ive experienced with mine, the hestitaion is you transmission downshifting, turbo spooling up, all at the same time. Which this takes a little time. It is agravating sometimes, i have found best is to "roll" into the thorttle, pressing half throttle and and then accelerating from there.

As "truck running away from you", that is infact your turbo, i can tell alot when cruise is set, climbing over hills it will take you over your desired speed.

Hope this helps....:)
