What to do What to do. I have new LLY, I don't want to mess with the tranny, but want better than stock. I'm new to these mods and diesels.http://dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Approve.gif There is soooo much here to read and learn that by the time I'm done and think I have it figured out GM will come out with a new DMAX. So I extend the question to the tried and true experts on this forum. Keep in mind that I really don't want to touch the tranny. Do I Juice w/attitude or do I do TTS tow tune?http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif

IMO if you don't ever want to touch your Ali, get the TTS tune.
But if you really want some power (once in a while) and can control yourself, get the Juice/Attitude and save your money for an Ali mod.

bump for what steve said - however, the TTS Tow Tune is by far the smoothest power maker out there - BAR NONE !! it produces more power than you think considering its a "tow tune" and will definitely give you the bounce in the power youre looking for.

What do you recommend for the manual transmission. Is TTS working on more than a tow tune also for the LLY?Thanks
Steve is right...http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ermm.gif
The TTS tow tune shouldn't hurt your trans, nor should an Edge in level 2. Guys here who've run the TTS and the Edge say the TTS is smoother, that's hard for me to believe, but I'll take their word for it since I've not driven a truck with the TTS tune.
You ought to consider guages if you opt for the TTS, plus you may want to get a spare ECM for stealer visits, just in case.
The Edge has built in guages with EGT and trans slip protections which I don't think the TTS has. But when you see how well the trucks run on level 2 with the Edge, it's really tough to avoid pushing the button up to a higher level.
So I guess the real question since the price tags can be similar, is how good is your self control?....http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif
If you buy an Edge, you can just about guarantee you'll need the Suncoast, ATS, or at least TransGo/converter upgrade sooner or later...http://dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif
As for bigtree's question, it's your flywheel causing you problems with power additions. There are, IIRC, aftermarket solutions to that from one of the member's here who I believe is also a supporting vendor. The problems with the dual mass flywheel are responsible for the LLY power restriction to the LB7 power levels on the manual trans equipted trucks.Edited by: Zeeb

Next time you travel through the Chicago area lets meet up, you can feel and hear for yourself what the TTS products did for my truck. If we could find an Edge equipped LLY in the area we could do a direct comparison between the two.
Any takers?

goody talking to you yesterday. I talked to Steve at TTS after you. I'm coming through on Friday but I don't know what time yet. I have to see if my wife plans on stopping at Gurnee or not. I'll let you know.
