I just bought a 2004.5 chevy. I love this truck my only problems are NVH related loose mirrors and a dash rattle. 3600 mi. already. This site is very helpful.

For the rattle in the dash make sure it is not something in your console, doors or glove box causing the rattle. Also if you have had any aftermarket electronics installed in the dash, check there first.

I had the same dash rattle,it turned out to be the plastic strips on the bottom of the windshield where it goes under the hood.It only rattled at 60mph or above.I swore it was coming from the dash.Good luck Trapper Dave
