Has anyone been able to find a good source for the Mobil 1, Truck and SUV synthetic oil for Diesels in either the quart of the 5 quart jugs. This used to be available at Wal-Mart, but all they carry now is for gasoline engines

What you are looking for is now called "Turbo Diesel Truck". However, I have not been oil shopping for some time as I am working off of old stock hoarded when the price was lower.

Tabatasu,

You may want to find the local Mobil distributor. That's what I did & they had it. However, the girl answering the phone did not know they carried it. Had to talk to someone more informed about their products. I believe the distributor is Western States Petroleum but, I'm not 100% sure.

Call some of the other distributors (like Pioneer) & they should know who the Mobil distributor is.

I personally can find it, but at beast it runs in around 5.50-6.00 a quart. I'm waiting for the old 5w40 diesel to come in the 5qt jugs at 20.00 to buy again:rolleyes:

I've gone back to Rotella Syn, hasn't let me down yet.

as I just posted in another thread:

Be very careful, it's probably NOT CH-4 or CI-4 rated!!!!!! Read your manual and the oils label Very carefuly!!!!!! If you happen to find that it is, please post where you found it. The only Mobile product I can find locally that is rated for the Duramax is Non-synthetic Delvac. But at $15.?? per gallon....rotela T (full synthetic) has my vote for now...

I order from AV Lubricants (http://store.avlube.com/automotive.html) and get my oil analysis kits from there as well.

Mobil Delvac 1 in gallons
Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel in quarts

I'm reading the back of a quart of Mobil 1 Truck and SUV synthetic 5W-40 and it says:

Diesel Engines
-Meets the CI-4/CH-4/CG-4/CF industry standards
-Meets diesel engine requirements of Cummins, Powerstroke, Duramax and Navistar
