: Is this a good deal on Juice?
6600LB7 07-26-2004, 09:00 AM I am getting ready to pulled the trigger and buy the Juice with attitude. I stumbled across this on ebay, it is $809 and $125.00 cash back. What do you think?

GMC2500HD 07-26-2004, 10:27 AM I guess it is just me but I am always leary of ebay when it comes to paying that kind of money for something. Have been burned before and I don't like people having access to my paypal account. Guess that is just me. I think that there are some vendors that would match that price to keep you from buying outside the forum, keep looking before you pull the trigger...http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Approve.gif
DSTRBD 07-26-2004, 10:32 AM Something tells me they are NOT an authorized dealer.
Kennedy 07-26-2004, 11:08 AM I don't care for Paypal either way. I've stuck with MC and Visa. Real fraud protection and merchant services.
I recently rec'd a Spam looking to sell me a mailing list of Paypal members...http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ermm.gif
I also received notice of a pending class action suit via EMAIL. Now that is cheezy...
IF YOU OPENED A PAYPAL ACCOUNT BETWEEN OCTOBER 1999 AND JANUARY 2004, YOU MAY BE ENTITLED TO A PAYMENT FROM A CLASS ACTION SETTLEMENT.

Not to shabby...
GMC2500HD 07-30-2004, 08:35 PM There are many ebay sellers out there and most are not authorized dealers. That becomes an issue. I talked to one guy that bought a juice/attitude combo and had issues with it and there was nothing that he could do. Edge told him they would work with him on it but that he needed to contact the person where he bought it. Turns out they did not keep records and were not authorized. He had to fight with them and edge for a while before he finally got a new unit... Just letting you know you have to be careful....

That is very strange because just about everyone sends back to Edge while forgetting the seller. Read through the post here, hundreds of post reporting how good Edge was to deal with. I see the vendors using scare tactics on here hoping to convince someone to buy from them. And no, this is not the likes of just one or 2 vendors.
John Kennedy is probably the number one vendor on here, and I have read where he recommends guys contact Edge them self to work out a problem. If the Vendor was the go to guy, I am sure John would not give out this advice.
6600LB7 08-01-2004, 12:21 AM Thanks for all the great input guys!

I just called those guys and left a message.
Looks like they are near my house. I want one today if possible. Driving down and picking it up would sure be a plus. The price seems good too. I don't know about the authorized dealer / not authorized dealer controversy. If I have a problem with it, I would hope that I could just contact Edge and resolve it without problems.

Just FYI, this stuff is handled on a case by case basis, and depends on what is brewing at Edge. In the case of the no start issues, I waived them right on through to Aaron so that they got the most current hardware.
Revised warranty policy from Edge has me now dealing directly with Edge, and waranty product shiping directly between myself and Edge. I'm not sure what Edge will be doing in the event that a consumer applies for warranty direct, but I'd guess it will eventually be the SELLING DEALER'S obligation to execute warranty.
Edge has asked that we follow certain guidelines as to pricing, and those dealers who are respctful of their wishes are doing so. Those who are disrespectful, well...
tbone1227 08-02-2004, 12:42 PM Just MHO - but buy from a vendor here on the forum, or if you have a diesel shop in your area buy from them as they are authorized and will make sure you have everything taken care of in regards to problems if they arise as will all the vendors here. All you have to do is check out the vendors here and you will end up with a good price and not have to worry about anything
