I got a friend who drives a F**D with an Edge performance module. I have no desire to install one in my D/A (I like having a warranty). However, I would like to have the engine monitoring functions that the Edge supplies. Are there any manufacturers that suppply an equivalent set of measurement functions without the power increase function?

You can install Autometer gauges or there are several companies that make digital gauges that you can purchase and install and you will get the same benefits of monitoring your truck. Do a search on gauges and you will find what you are looking for. Good luck....

GMC2500HD, Quadzilla makes a nice, 3 function digital gauge. You get EGT, Boost Pressure, and Oil Temp readouts.
Here's a pic of mine installed in the overhead console:

Very nice. http://dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big%20Smile.gif That's exactly what I'm looking for. How's the brightness at night? Is it distracting?
The Quadzilla website isn't very informative. What comes in their kit?

Duramut and Dmaxfan, sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I think the gauge shows up fine. Easy to read, day or night, but not overly bright when cab is dark. Since background color is greenish, it is easy on the eyes. It could stand to be a bit bigger, but overall I like it a lot. Really impressed with sensitivity and how quickly it reacts. Gauge comes with pyro probe and lead wire, and a section of plastic tubing for boost function. I needed a few extras to install mine in the O/H console. Had to lengthen the power wire, added an inline fuse (not required, but doesn't hurt), and depending on where you get your boost reading from, you'll need parts to plumb it in. I spliced a brass "T" into the wastegate hose and used a ferrule fitting to connect the plastic tubing to the "T". Also, had to remove the top cover (metal housing) of the gauge to get a flush mount in the O/H console. Just cut out a section of the stock blank plate and ran 2 screws through it and into gauge housing. Hope this helps. duramutt,
I would caution you, installing guages that would in some dealership's eyes tell them you are running a programer/chip. I friend of mine had there warranty voided on F550 for having boost and EGT guages. Take this advise for what is worth.....free.
I am running with the Edge/Attitude and keeping my fingers crossed.
I better knock on wood!
