: LLY block with LB7 parts?? Will it work? teamhertz 12-06-2006, 12:00 AM If you did not see my thread in the LB7 discussion, my motor has some extra holes in it ;) . I am looking into motor/block options and need to get an idea soon. If I purchased a LLY motor, what do I need to do to make it work? What would stay and go externally and internally? Also gives you the lower compression, had to have some head work done, minimal, custom tuning is also needed if you are running a LB7 computer. Might be a bit of a headache, the only reason to do this is to get the stronger block, rods, and crank. You could buy these parts aftermarket, might be a better choice, but sometimes a shortblock is cheaper.
