Have you done any of these yet? If so what do you think?

I'm assuming this replaces the "add a lot of grease to fix it" TSB?

Thank Goodness, I'm rapidly approaching 36,000 and have been putting it off until the new part came out. It is a new part right? Anyone know how much the shaft costs? I've got so many wires under the dash and around the steering column I'm afraid to have anyone else do it (Airlift Airbag lines and wires for in-cab controller, prodigy brake controller, Tranferflow Trax UFS wires, and ATS CoPilot Wires... Talk about spagetti, you can barely see the steering shaft anymore.)

Is this not a warranty issue? Is so why are you concerned about who does the work and how much the part costs?

Is gm putting these in new trucks? If so, any idea when they started? My truck was one of the last 04's manufactured. Hopfully I have the new shaft.

Interesting... no responses to this question.

I just installed this "new" shaft - looks just like
the original one did to me. I just hope it cures the
clunking......

Opinions?
