Is there any info that this are being taken care GM , dealer says they are not aware of anything, does anyone have a code number that they 04's might be covered under.

$4888.00 that is a lot of money, any help fellows I sure could use right now.

Call Chevrolet customer assistance and the BBB, the 01-03s are covered for 7 yrs/ 200k miles per the latest special policy, your 2004 LB7 (I assume) is the same design and they should pay for the repairs. Don't scream at the dealer too much, they don't have a lot of control at this point.

How can you tell if your 04 may have the LB7? I bought the truck new on May 28th 2004.

Look at your VIN- 8th digit from the left.
1=LB7
2=LLY
Or the SPID label on the inside of the glovebox door will have all the RPO codes.

On the VIN 8th number from the left is a 1, so does this mean mine is covered under the service bulletin 04039A? which was for 7 years or 200K miles on the injectors?

Doesn't mean it is covered...however means you have a shot at getting it covered if you play your cards right...
