Anyone running 305/70/16's on your trucks without a lift kit? Just torsion bar adjustment. Any rubbing?

I only have 265, but others on the forum have 305, and I know that they will fit without a lift. You will have to crank the T-bars, ot better yet, put green keys on, but they will fit. I would get a wider rim though because of the wide tire.

I'm running 315's (H2 takeoffs) with only torsion bar adjustment. I had to tie back the e-brake line, trim the bottom rear edge of the bumper and take off the lower edge of the fender liner. Do a search and you'll see plenty of others are doing the same.

I cranked my torsion bars for 2" of lift when I put my 285/75's on. I have already cut the front liner some and rear edge of the bumper. I was concerned more about the the rear of the tire rubbing when turning. If you are running 315's without problems then I guess 305's should be fine. Any others with input.

I run 315/70R17 with no rubbing and no lift (dropped in fact). If your not afraid of a little trimming, you can fit a 305 very easily.

305's without a lift might be OK for a street truck or very mild off road, but will probably hit in sharp turns if used off road. I had my 305's with a 4" Rancho lift AND turned up torsion bars, and in cornering off road under moderate to heavy conditions I came very close to hitting - slightly rubbing a few times. I also feel 305's are too wide for those of us who seriously off road.

No off roading for me. Just an occasional rough terrain construction site from time to time. Mostly (95%) highway/interstate travel. I'm not afraid of some triming as long as I can make it look like it came from the factory looking that way. That's how I do everything.
