Is their a noticable difference? is one really better than the other?

I'm looking at 04 and an 04.5 3500, I know the first gens had Injector problems. was that it? no idea what so ever about the 2nd gen motors.

A little tootalege would be greatly apprciated.

My brother has an '04 2500 with the LB7 and I have an 2004.5 with the LLY engine and the LLY definitely has a little more snort as stock. Advantages to the LLY are that they came with an elevated idle feature for cold weather and the injectors are no longer in the head.
