Lately there have been a ton a vehicles getting broken into in my neighborhood. Does anybody have any ideas to keep my truck safe (besides  camping in it with a shotgun)
-I dont have an alarm, but will that really make much of a difference besides makin alot of noise?

Remove the lock rods. I would also remove the lock cylinders in the door and replace them with a blank of some kind. That will do it.

How is that done, is it difficult?
I've never had a vehicle broken in to with an aftermarket alarm but HAVE when I had only factory/no security system. I've also never seen a truck driving down the road with the alarm going off. :) I'm aftermarket, 2 stage with glass break/motion sensor. The idea is to make the other guy's truck more appealing/easier to break in to.

:exactly: Pull the door panel, unbolt and remove the outside door handle, pull the lock rod and go back together with it.
