Hi guys

I have an 03 Dmax CC , after running the interstate for 50+ miles at speeds of 60-75, pulling off the interstate to local roads I step on the brakes the truck pulls to the right most of the time. Once in a while it will pull to the left otherwise always to the right. This only happens after running the highways whether I tow or not and whether the truck is empty or not. It doesn't happen if I run locally around town. Any thoughts???? Going to the dealer for "steering clunck" on 7-28-04. Thanks Mike D

Did they find anything out of the ordinary??? My brakes seem to pull a bit, and truck seems to vibrate as well when slowing....

Polarbear,

They said they couldn,t find anything wrong. The tech did test drive the truck but was unable to duplicate. He only drove on local roadways not on the interstate where I was having the problem, especially coming off the highway to the exit ramp.

The vibration could be warpped rotors? Or possibly a bad pitman or idler arm, maybe bad tierod ends as well? I would have it checked.

Thanks for getting back to me, imade appt this morning going in friday....i kinda thought rotors or something but previous owner had like entire rear brakes replace at just under 20k, and im at 28,5 w/it ....seems as tho they should hold out a bit better than that....Have you had any problems since w/yours???

Polarbear,

I haven't had any problems so far. Maybe when the brakes where done at 20k the previous owner did not have the rotors resurfaced/turned down. If you are hard on the brakes carring a heavy load, riding with your foot on the brakes or going down steep grades and slowing the truck down with constant pressure on the brake pedal the rotors will heat up and warp.
