: differential fluid questions 02dmaxHD 12-03-2006, 07:13 PM I am looking into changing the fluids in both the rear and front differentials on my truck and wanted to put synthetic fluid in. What fluid has the best bang for your buck? Is there additives you have to put in with the new fluid seeing as how the truck has limited slip? Probably the best value per $. The G80 Eaton is a locker, not a limited slip. Synthetic is required, with no additive. If doing heavy towing in alot of hot weather, Mobil1 75w140 would be an option.
