How hard would it be to swap out a 6.0 to a 6.6 Duramax? I know i would have to swap transmissions, and electronics, but what else? Would i need a new fuel tank and pump? Also, where would be the best place to get a Duramax and Allison? I want to do it to an 02, so i understand i would need to use an 02 donor Duramax if i cant buy a new motor and trans

May I suggest selling the gasser and buying a Dmax truck instead? While what you are suggesting would certainly be possible, it would be a real can of worms and cost a bunch more, IMHO, than changing trucks.


The other real consideration is if you don't have the HD chassis, that would complicate things further.
