I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction for removeing the door trim to gain access to the speaker. I have a bare bones 05lly work truck thanks andy

Here is with power windows. The 05 will also have 1 clip on the front of the door and a covered screw on the rear of the door that is not shown in the pictures.

I have a '03 work truck and had a door rattle from the speaker that I had to fix. The TTT instructions are pretty accurate (just skip all the parts about the power stuff). IIRC, pull the cover over the door handle, the outside mirror screws cover, screws on the bottom edge of the door panel, screw behind the slide lock, screw under the door pull, and then of course, play with a pair of really fine needlenose pliers to get the lock ring off the manual window crank. Lift up and it should slide up and right off. If it doesn't come off easily, then find another screw (don't ask me how I know this). 7mm and 10mm sockets required. I scratched my panel the first time also taking off the window crank, so you may want to use some tape or something to protect the panel.
