Just yesterday I found that when I press the recirc air button on my heater/AC controls, the light blinks 3 or 4 times and goes out. I then noticed the same thing when I hit the AC button. It does not matter if I am on Defrost or not and the compressor does not start at all in defrost but is plugged in.

Thoughts? Someone tell me it's easy and cheap. Please!

IIRC it won't switch to recirc if it's on floor either. but not 100% sure.
As for the compressor not cycling, maybe the lo psi/ cycling switch is bad, not uncommon, and that might be causing the other problem.

theres certin posssions where the vent or ac botton wont allow you have that setting i forgit witch thay are but its normal

Yeah, you can't recirc with the defrost.
