Got my underhood light and reel light from Eric (THANKS!!!). Is there a place on the firewall to mount this? On the older trucks I recall they were on the right side where my battery/overflow is. I think there maybe room on the firewall close to the center before the trans-tunnel cutout; but cannot recall w/o looking. Haven't had a chance to take the light and hold it up to see if it fits. If you guys have any pics of neat ,clean installs I would appreciate it. TIA , Chris

I installed mine on the underside of the hood. Serves dual purpose as an underhood light that way. There is a picture in my garage.

I tried to find a good spot, but could find anything out of the way and safer than the hood. If you pull down the liner the sub frame is right there to mount it to. I ground it to the ground strap on the hood and got power from the fuse box. Pic in my garage.

I did like DOZERBOY's mounting. MJB's was good too but I already have the underhood light(mercury switch) in that location.
Does anyone know if there is anything directly behind the firewall above the A/C condenser; just beside the aux battery. I'd like to put it there but need to know for sure that it is clear behind there. If not i'll go w/ the other. How did you attach it? 3/4" or so self drilling screws? Thanks.

Well here is where I mounted my fuse for my amp on the firewall by the battery. I don't know how well I checked for anything behind there and didn't see anything through the holes. I was very careful when drilling the holes and used some stubby metal screws just in case.
