Maybe you guys can help. When I put my camper on the overhang blocks my XM antenna on the cab. I have another antenna but I can't find the port under the dash to plug it in. I looked under the glove box and there is a module there that has one brown wire in a white plastic plug and another plug with 6-8 wires on it. Nothing like the plug on the new antenna though. My stealer had no clue. Any hints on this or where I might find info?

Thanks, Gruber

The wire runs right from the back of the radio up to the antenna. It is a one of a kind end which will only work with the factory radio, so most likely the other antenna you have will not plug into your radio.

I am pretty sure I read somewhere that it is a standard plug. I'll see if I can dig up that info again.

I know its not a standard plug because it is not the same plug aftermarket companies use on the back of their recievers, and there is no adapter out there that I know of.

panasonic makes all the audio/video equpiment for gm and gm still has another 2 years on their contract with panasonic and no one can make any kind of adaptors to intergrate into their equpiment, but adaptors can be makde to completely replace their system, like swapping out the head unit.

the only way to do anything about this is go back to your dealer and tell them if they know anything about XM to take back that POS antenna they sold you and hook up a XM commander unit from terk technologies and position the new antenna wherever you would like it, but tell them to make sure and not drill any holes, so when you decide to sell the truck you can pull the extra system outso you wont have 2 xm systems on the truck (if you sell it w/o the camper) if they tell you that they cant install the system w/o drilling holes then tell them they are idiots, because i have done it to 4 gmc's and 2 ford's in the past month, and im supposed to only work on boats
