Ok I'm dumping the hypertech(although I loved it) for efi. I'm going to be getting it for christmas. I know very little of it now. I would like to start doing as much research about what parameters do what and so on before I get it. My overall goal is a mileage tune. I don't care for hp, I just want mileage. Where can I start reading about what does what.
Thanks
Also am I ok with just a pyro gauge or what other gauges should I use. Thanks again

Also there are some good tunes in the repository by cit1991 that are good for fuel economy.

Yeah I saw those tunes in the repository. I just wanted to start learning what each parameter is and what it effects.

Glad to see you are making the switch! The "Tips and Tricks" and "FAQ" threads are a great place to start your research. I recommend downloading the latest version of EFILive ahead of time, along with a tune or two from the repository that matches the model year of your truck and start looking and comparing the parms while building your knowledge base on the tuning side. If you would like to see some logs just let us know and we can send you some logs to look over.

You will probably want a boost guage even though EFILive will log boost, it's not a bad idea.
