for all you tranny guys ( Mike ? Dmaxallitech ? ) and techs and anyone who might know what this might do or not ?? - will driving around town in overdirve locked out cause any long term problems or wear anything out prematurely ? Ive done some driving like that and it feels better as it wont shift into 5th gear which normally occurs too early in my opinion but I dont want to kill anything in my tranny either. I have the suncoast stage 3 and run the TTS town tune stacked with edge-attitude on level 5. Thanks

thanks guys - the truck drives a lot better this way as it usually shifts into 5th gear too early, when the o/d is off, you feel more power at the level it would usually have shifted and it seems like you almost get another gear as the alli will go from 4th unlocked to 4th locked and it does feel different when that happens. Other than that the only other thing i have noticed is oil pressure being higher which I assume is due to the higher reving in 4th ? Should i make sure to check oil more regularly or does it not matter ?

The only problem you will have, will be that the truck will have a tendency to pull to the right when near a filling station.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gif But if your speeds are low enough that you never go into 5th gear, you won't even have that problem.

Below about 50 mph you will see no difference. Above 50-55 you will suffer mileage per gallon.
