Wel I finally got my VA sold and got it removed. Now with everything back to stock, I have a little quirk. Upon startup it starts like I have my foot on the accelerator only problem is, I don't. What I mean is, upon the initial start up, it revs to like 1100 or 1200 and immediately idles down to 700 or 800 like where it should be. This was never there before the VA nor with the VA. It has also got an SES now but I have no way to check it until i can get to AAP tomorrow.

I tried pulling the harness back apart and visually checking for something obviously wrong but nothing jumps out at me with the harness. HOWEVER, two of the pins on the smaller plug are pushed in about half way. I don't know or recall if this is correct or not. I didn't want to try pulling them out so they were even with the others without some consensus from you all on here.

Otherwise, the truck is running and shifting fine and all dash gauges are in line with what they should be. Just the little start up blip.


Any thoughts??

Any idea if any of the pins are supposed to be partially pushed in on the main wiring harness?

You would think all those pins should be even. Try GENTLY pulling on them with some needle nose pliers.

NODMAX, thanks for the encouragement. I did it. I pulled them out until they snapped into place and replugged up everthing. All is well now. Except I'm still stock. :(
