: H2 takeoffs - 315 tires and 17" wheels
babyfacedavid 07-22-2004, 03:05 AM Hello Cummins folks! My brother used to have a '96 2500 extended cab, long bed, 4x4...it was the best looking truck he has ever had with all the fancy options added on!
Anyway, I wanted to let you all know that I recently read on here about a guy (hoot) who was able to put H2 tires and wheels on his 2500 Dodge Ram. As such, I've provided a link to a recent thread I started in the Chevy section for you to take a look at. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=12098&PN=1&TPN=1
Also, my website has a lot more information. www.geocities.com/babyfacedavid/t/ (http://www.geocities.com/babyfacedavid/t/)
Here is info on how the H2's fit on the Dodge...thanks hoot! http://dieselplace.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=8299&PN=1
Everybody may not be able to make this transition as easy as hoot...but I thought I would at least let you all know!
Thanks - David
Bertram65 07-22-2004, 09:02 AM Interesting, the local Hummer dealer in MA sells the take offs for $100 each, wheels and tires brand new.

That's the best deal I've seen yet. I paid $460 for the whole set.
Bertram65,
I had the Hummers on my GMC and now the Dodge but different sets. The chrome plated ones that were on the GMC were so pitted after a year that I let them go with the trade. The beauty of the H2 wheels is the absolutely perfect offset they provide.
Bertram65 07-22-2004, 02:24 PM They do fit very well, this Hummer dealer I got them from changes out almost every one they get. They are a huge dealer. I am hoping Hummer comes out with a new style soon for the H2, when these wear out I will be getting another set.
Galaxie428 07-22-2004, 03:06 PM Hey guys,
I am new to this forum and even though I do not have my new dodge yet I have been reading your posts on them. I am kind of waiting till the ‘05’s come out before I buy unless I can get a really good rebate on an ’04. Anyway you guys really have some good information, keep up the good work.
Bertram65, I would be interested in getting the name of the dealership you are talking about. I don’t know if they would be willing to ship somewhere or not but I would like to check into it. I was looking at replacing the original tires on my truck when I get it, you know to make it look like a truck should and I was looking at Bf’s but they would be more than these take-offs. Do all the take-off’s have Bf’s or what brand do they have. Thanks for your help.
Bertram65 07-22-2004, 04:04 PM The dealer I got them from is www.norwoodhummer.com (http://www.norwoodhummer.com) they are in MA.
Patriot_RAM 07-23-2004, 12:57 PM Not bad... The best deal I found was in OKC for $500. Took the machine shop damn near three weeks to modify them though. Oh well, they're on and lookin' good now!!!
turboost 07-28-2004, 12:06 PM What does it take to make them fit on a Dodge?
Patriot_RAM 07-28-2004, 11:06 PM Just a larger center hole and different caps.
turboost 07-29-2004, 08:56 AM Has anybody put these tires/rims on a 2wd? How did they fit?
Patriot_RAM 07-30-2004, 12:09 AM I have not seen anybody do this, but judging by the way they fit the 4x4, I would assume it would not work without some sort of lift.
Slick 08-03-2004, 10:33 AM I know this is the dodge forum, but will H2's fit on an F-350.
Bertram65 08-03-2004, 11:46 AM Nope, different bolt pattern.
Galaxie428 08-06-2004, 08:29 AM Just in case anyone is interested and needs new tires without purchasing the rims too, I just bought a brand new set of BF Goodrich All Terain 315x70xr17's for $200 from the place that Bertram65 was talking about. www.norwoodhummer.com (http://www.norwoodhummer.com/). I live in Indiana and delivered to my house it cost me $385 for the set. Of course they also sell them on the rim for $400 a set like was said above.
