Anyone know when the 05s will start showing up on the lots?

It's pretty quiet on the '05 front. No doubt GM would love to unload the 04's before saying anything about the '05s.

GM should be getting back into production after the 2 week summer shut down. I'd say it will be 2 to 3 weeks before you see the 2005 trucks on the lots.

Last year, the first '04 showed up the last week of Aug. in my area.

According to the GM fleet information site, production began on most GM FS pickups on Sunday July 18th.

My 05 has a build week of first week in August and a delivery week of first week in Sept. Dealer says his first scheduled delivery of a DA is 3rd week of August.

2 years ago, I bought my 2002 on August 09, 2002 and I tried out 2 different 2003 models before buying mine. I think I test drove the first 2003 on August 06, 2002. So it should not be to long in to August before the bigger cities see them on the large lots.

Lloyd-TX,

what are you paying for your new Sierra when it arrives - aside from Dealer incentives which are not know yet?
Thanks

As of Tuesday evening - when I placed my order - there was NO pricing available through the GM V.O.M.S.

I own an auto repair shop, and being an AC-Delco T.S.S. member, myself and my employees are eligible for the "GM Supplier" discount program. Before I placed my order, I asked the sales manager whether they would accept the GMS dicount certificate (it is voluntary for dealers to accept it), and he replied that he would with no problem. The GMS price is clearly shown on the invoice, and on my 2002 1500HD that price was about $150.00 LESS than the invoice amount. The KBB report I rpinted out before going to order my truck indicated an invoice amount of $40,139.70, so I would suspect that unless GM alters pricing before my truck arrives, I'll be paying right at $40K.

Hope this helps!

Has GM released specifics on '05 HP/Torque?

Has GM released specifics on '05 HP/Torque?

According to published information I have found at

http://eogld.ecomm.gm.com/

and at KBB, the LLY power and torque remain unchanged for '05.
