: Fire and Ice light bar installed...
Sniper 11-29-2006, 01:46 AM Just installed the "Fire and Ice" LED rear light bar and I am very happy with the results. The installation was a snap, instructions included and the hardest thing was tapping into the backup light wire (which took about 5 minutes, including taking the light fixture out of the frame).
Got the light bar from Stylin Concepts (see add in Diesel Power magazine) for $79. With shipping and handling, it came to about an even $100.
Now, there is no excuse for not seeing my turn signals.
Here are some photos.

m.gil 11-29-2006, 08:00 AM do you get any light out of the back up led's, or are they just for looks ?

I took the photos with a flash at night. The flash "washed out" alot of the light output from this light bar. Trust me, it is very bright. The white backup lights are as bright as two utility lights I used to have mounted under my bumper on my old truck. The red LEDs overpower the tail lights (which is good, because I live in an area where people spend more time on their cell phones than paying attention to driving).
The unit is very bright and adds to the safety of driving (IMHO).
ryan in louisville 11-29-2006, 12:53 PM 1-Where'd you get it and the cost
2-Is there sufficient protection from things falling thru, ie-dirt, mulkch etc. I end up haulking mulch and dirt every spring and some always falls thru the gap between the bed & tailgate.
Thanks,
Ryan

The LED light bar appears to be fully enclosed in a "polycarbinate like" sealed tube that looks to be waterproof and dust proof. The manufacturer would probably be able to provide more exact information, but, I have washed the truck since installation and washed a lot of dirt and grime out of the bed with no ill effects on the lightbar.
Sniper 11-29-2006, 11:37 PM I am not connected with the company, nor am I a vendor. Just a happy customer.

acehi 01-08-2007, 12:40 AM I just installed my fire and ice lightbar and love it. I was just outside and out of the corner of my eye I got a red flash. I looked over at the truck and the red LED's on the lightbar flash about every 5 seconds. I walked over to the truck and stood at an angle where I could see the alarm light on the radio and the lightbar at the same time and I noticed that every other flash on the radio the lightbar would flash. Have any of you had this happen? I kind of like it as a security measure. Would this cause a problem down the road? Any help/suggestions let me know.
Jeff
