Does the LLY really RPM the same when transmission is in neutral, coasting down a hill. Rpm's stay the same the same as it was in gear vs going into neutral.

Can not tell by the sounds, due to everything moving, or is the RPM's picked up off of the VSS, & cause the driveline is still spinning it still producing pulses which translates to the same RPM's
